This programm does not run on my mac. On the website of the developer they propose a couple of solutions but none of them is usefull. I am really disappointed and had to buy another programm. 5.99 Euro is not a lot of money but too much for a programm that does not work.

I am typing faster and more accurately than before using this app. The lessons are good, the practice games are fun and engaging (Dragon Chase is my favorite), and the price is exceptional. This is a nice little Typing Tutor.

I bought the application via App Store and installed it on my MacBook Pro. However on startup it pops up a message: "This Application cannot run. Try restarting your computer." I tried the support website ending up in a broken link page. I have sent a message to support team and I hope they either help me fix the problem or refund my money. I will post again if I get a good result back. Dont buy this app yet and stay tuned... UPDATE: I have to say that I am really satisfied with their customer service. We exchanged several emails and finally I got the application working on my iMac. There is a demo version of the program on the website that you can try before buying the application. UPDATE 2: I gave 5 star to their customer service. As you read above, I had problem with the application but I received an email from edAlive soon after I wrote my first review. We had been in contact to troubleshoot the issue and eventually I found the root cause for problem was the fact that Adobe products doesnt work with case-sensitive file system. Nothing that edAlive could solve. What really mattered to me is the customer service that I received from edAlive.

Positive : Its great for typing. Negitive: Takes like 5 mintues to load. Whats with that? Black Screen of death and your sitting there wondering if the program has crashed, or frozen your computer. Needs a load bar if its going to take that long. The longest program Ioading time length Ive had before this program was with Photoshop and Indesign (a grand total of 10- 35 seconds on my beauty of a iMac) Heck Auto CAD and Final Cut Express arent even that long to load. Once your into the typing program things are better. (Until you leave and reopen the program again.)

I find Typing Tournament to be decently affective. It seems to be somewhat geared to kids but as an adult I still find it fun and challenging. I didnt find it long to load or start up at all on my new macbook pro (osx lion). I would say definatey go for it if you want to improve your typing skills.

This is a very good teaching method! I never thought I could learn to type with ten fingers! Im still working on speed, but I can defenetly type already.

Ive been a 2 finger typer for years. But after I bought this, my 2 fingers found 8 more speedy friends. I went from 14 words a minute with a ton of mistakes to 24 words a minute with less mistakes in a few hours. SUPER FUN!

Very happy! You wont be sorry! Im an adult, finally learning to type correctly and this is a fun and challenging way to "re-train" my fingers from some of the bad typing habits developed over the years. Allows you to go at your own pace and does not allow you to progress until youve sucessfully completed tests. Daily improvement… great app!!

I purchased this app for myself after reading positive reviews, primarily because it is much cheaper than comparable typing apps. After less than 2 weeks of doing a lesson per day, I have already learned how to touch type. At this point in the lessons I am just drilling up to higher speeds. Im really impressed! Although this program is geared towards children, as a 34 year-old I can recommend this app to any adult.

Our 4 year old son was able to learn all the letters of the alphabet, including punctuations, numbers, (working on symbols) in 4 months time. Folks are amazed hes typing out actual words on the keyboard instead of gibberish. Hes also taken a liking to learning the actual meanings of the words hes typing out. He knows all the stages by rote (for example, he will say he learned how to type the 9 in the Throne Room, and would ask about the whole Knights and Castles theme of whole program. Clearly, much effort was put into the interface and structure to make it interesting and challenging for kids.

It takes me one and a half month to learn typing and I reached 40-45 words per minutes as a stable result. I can recommend it to everyone, not only children.

please add new keyboard layouts. Need Finnish, Russian and Swedish layouts. With additional languages program could be perfect. Lessons are clear and interesting. Thank you.

I like the fine way of learning keyboard. This programme is really a big help. The only disadvantage is that you cant choose language other than English, but I would like to learn keybord in other languages. In other aspects the tutor is perfect.

My son is using it, and he’s making decent progress. I had to pass a test for him before he could get to a page where he was using anything other than ASDF. You spend a fair amount of time getting around the menus, trying to figure out what you’re allowed to do, etc. It’s way too focussed on “You must be a good student,” and not nearly enough about “Now let’s have fun!”.

I can’t even open it.

I bought this software for my children learning typing. The program does not even start. I tried it on three Mac computers without success. There is no customer support I can reach. The link on their support website is not linked. Obviously I do not recommend this to anyone and I do not know why App store sells this.
